Valérie Catalá Pilato works in analog black and white usually 35 mm or square formats (large and medium format).
All series are limited edition (numbered) or single copies.
 
Graduated in Fine Arts specializing in Art Photography currently works as a Fine Art photographer and Head of Exhibitions freelance.
Her work covers the entire creative process, from choosing materials to the assembly, using collage, recycled materials and alternative processes.

NENI is one of the names with which Valérie Catalá Pilato collaborates with other artists and presents multidisciplinary projects as ME MY MINE, photo and painting installation and VENUS DECAPITADA where photo and video art are confused.
 
Impressionistic photographer, the creation of atmospheres and the amalgamation of ideas are the fil rouge of her artistic discourse.
 
Recurrent subjects are the body and self-portraits, textures and lights created by the bodies underwater or reflected in a mirror. The mirror, fetish object, by the light which creates and removes, by the flou atmospheres.

She is currently working in her first photographic book with cinematic inspiration about the LATEX material and in her latests projects : FIX YOU and SI TU ME DEJAS ( IF YOU LET ME ).
 
Abandonment, the projection of oneself into the beloved, the rupture.. are the issues discussed in SI TU ME DEJAS project. Where we find the
series : HEART IN A BOX and MOI APRES TOI ( ME AFTER YOU ). Existential dilemmas always evoked through the body.
 
However brighter is her latest project, FIX YOU where portrays with great sensuality her object of desire, her lover and partner, the also photographer and visual artist, DENISROMAIN.
